Imaginarium Science Center Touch Tank

Touch live sea life, be blown away by a hurricane, run through a rainstorm! Your admission package to the Imaginarium provides hours of fun and entertainment for the entire family through hands-on science exhibits. You will enjoy the new 3-D film, Dino Discovery Dig Area, a hands-on experience at our marine touch tank with stingrays & more, exhibits displaying live fish, sharks, turtles, and iguanas, daily Animal Encounters with LIVE animals, the opportunity to become a TV weather forecaster in our mini-studio, the Sporty Science Arena, a virtual sports simulator, and so much more!

Hours Of Operation

Tuesday – Saturday: 10:00am to 5:00pm

Sunday: Noon to 5:00pm

Admission Package – includes 3-D film, Animal Encounter Shows, "Sea-to-See" Touch Tank Experience, Hurricane Experience and over 60 hands-on exhibits.

Group admission is available and must be scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. To schedule a group trip click on group reservations


The Imaginarium will be CLOSED September 23rd through October 3rd.  We have some exhibit enhancements and building projects lined up to improve your Imaginarium experience, so come back and visit and see us for yourself!  Re-opening Saturday, October 4th!

Meet Our Team

Anji McStravic, Education Manager

SarahWebsitePhotos_064.jpgAnji has been with the Imaginarium since 2011.  Her background is in Environmental Education.  You can find her at the Imaginarium singing and dancing along with the campers as well as writing new programs for visitors! If you see a new and exciting exhibit area at the museum, she was the force behind aquiring and constructing it!!

You may also know Anji from her other job as 'Queen of the World'

 


Sarah Von Williamsen, STEM Program Coordinator

Sarah has been working at the Imaginarium since early 2010.  Her academic background is in Ecology, but loves all aspects of science!  At the Imaginarium you can find her teaching her homeschool students chemical reactions, giving engineering challenges to campers, or writing new programs for visitors!

 


Carrie Nameth, Floor Coordinator/Animal Care Specialist

Carrie has been with the Imaginarium since 2011.  She has extensive experience and training with Animal Care and Handling.  You can find her making sure all residents of the Imaginarium are well-fed and taken care of and you can also catch one of her Animal Encounters where she lets you touch live animals...even alligators!!

Carrie is an Animal Care Specialist and Educator by day and a tree hugging, Earth-saving super hero by night!

Tina Hamm, Educator

Tina has been with the Imaginarium since 2013.

Tom Dahlheimer, Exhibits & Facilities Manager

Tom has been with the Imaginarium since 1997!  His background is in mechanics, hydraulics, electronics, electrical, and woodworking.  On a typical day at the Imaginarium you can find Tom behind the scenes working on a new exhibit, or fixing some of our old ones!
