Storm Smart Industries has partnered with the Imaginarium Hands-On Museum & Aquarium to sponsor the Storm Smart Hurricane Safety House in the newly expanded Hurricane Experience exhibit area.
Visitors to the Imaginarium can now explore the pre and post-effects of a hurricane and learn the importance of preparation for these powerful storms while following their progress on computers in the weather-tracking station using weather-specific internet technology in two new computers.
The Storm Smart Hurricane Safety House is the focus of an interactive display showcasing Storm Smart hurricane protection methods including impact-resistant door and windows, clear storm panels, and a storm catcher rolling screen.
Located on the second floor of the Imaginarium next to the Hurricane Experience, allowing for more space and a dedicated area to weather, the Storm Smart Hurricane Safety House lines a wall with an interactive impact-site for guests to test the resistance of Storm Smart’s technology. Three windows demonstrate the capability of impact-resistant glass, rolling screen technology and the clear shutters capability.
The Hurricane Experience allows guests to safely experience strong winds in a controlled environment while wearing goggles. Now, this popular exhibit has incorporated Storm Smart technology using the storm catcher rolling screen to demonstrate to guests, the difference its use makes in cutting down wind force.
Guests at the Imaginarium will also be able to explore 60 interactive exhibits including Science-of-Motion, Sea-to-See Touch Tanks, Make It Move PLUS enjoy live animal encounters, Hands-On Fun Shows and see the 3-D movie, SOS Planet!
