The Imaginarium Offering a Great Series of Educational Programming in 2009-10

Science & Inventors FairThe Imaginarium Hands-On Museum & Aquarium has created an exciting line up of Educational Programming for 2009-2010 designed to meet the needs of students of all ages. Educational programs include School’s Out, Camp’s In, Homeschool Day Events, Lil’ Hands Preschool programs, Field Trips, Birthday Parties, and a Science & Inventors Fair Help Session.

 

The Imaginarium offers School’s Out, Camp’s In Sessions on teacher duty days and select school holidays throughout the school year. Camp dates are: October 29th-30th, November 11th and 25th, December 21st-23rd, December 28th-30th, January 25th-26th, February 16th, April 1st-2nd, and April 5th-9th. Participants will enjoy fun and educational hands-on activities, demonstrations, special guests, and exhibit exploration! Camp Sessions for K-7th graders begin at 9am and end at 4pm with extended care available from 8-9am and from 4-5:30pm. Space is limited so sign up today! Advanced registration is required for all sessions.

 

Homeschool Day events are offered September thru April on the 3rd Wednesday of each month with a Life Science series from 10:15-12pm, and a History series from 1-3pm. Designed for homeschool students and their families, these monthly events feature workshops, fun and educational hands-on activities, and other programs. Workshops are based on the Sunshine State Standards and include a Curriculum Guide with vocabulary, additional activities, and recommended resources. Upcoming program dates are: October 21st, November 18th, December 16th, January 20th, February 17th, March 17th and April 21st. Lil’ Hands Preschool program are offered the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 3-4:30 pm at the Imaginarium now thru April. All sessions integrate science, art, and language with hands-on activities, special story selections, and exciting exhibit experiences for 3-5 year old children and a grown up to learn together. Upcoming program dates are: October 14th, November 4th, December 9th, January 13th, February 10th, March 10th and April 14th. Advanced registration is required for all sessions. Teachers and Group Leaders! Contact us to enhance your classroom curriculum with our expanded educational visit experiences and workshops! Field trips are available with a basic package at only $4 per student. Enhance your experience by upgrading to the deluxe or ultimate package!

Celebrate your Birthday Bash at the Imaginarium. A variety of packages are available beginning at only $60 for a “D-I-Y” package.
Science & Inventors Fair Help Session
Ask an expert, ask a teacher, ask a student…
Saturday, Oct. 10th 1030am-12pm

Students and parents are invited to learn about general Science & Inventors Fair policies and procedures, and then have an opportunity to “Ask-an-Expert”, “Ask-a-Teacher”, and “Ask-a-Student”, posing questions to scientists, inventors, and other professionals to aid in project planning! Come with a topic idea, and leave with a plan! Session attendees will be admitted free-of-charge! Additional guests in party will receive $1 off regular admission prices.
