ABOUT CAMPS

The Imaginarium and Southwest Florida Museum of History offer fun and exciting camp sessions filled with special guests, educational hands-on activities, demonstrations, and exhibit exploration! Both camps use an innovative curriculum integrating science, the arts, & humanities, to inspire the imagination and encourage a love of learning.

The Imaginarium and the SWFL Museum of History provide positive and supportive learning environments with a high level of personal attention for each camper by professional museum educators, certified teachers, and specially trained Junior Camp Assistants.

Campers are grouped by the grade level which allows the staff to design appropriate academic curricula based on the Sunshine State Standards, and promotes healthy social experiences for all campers.

Kindergarten campers must be 5 by September 1st for Summer Camp sessions or currently enrolled for School’s Out Sessions!

Camp sessions for rising K-7th graders begin at 9 AM and end at 4 PM. Pre-campers may be signed in as early as 8AM and post-campers must be signed out by 5:30 PM.

All camper check-in/out takes place at the Imaginarium! Camp registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early as camps fill quickly! Register by April 1st and $AVE up to $10 a week on summer camp tuition!

  EXTENDED CARE
Pre-Camp 8-9 AM
$4/day or $20/wk
Pre-Campers may be signed-in as early as
8AM for supervision until camp begins.
Post-Camp 4-5:30 PM
$4/day or $20/wk
Post-Campers will be supervised on museum grounds,
and must be signed out by 5:30PM.
CAMPERS MUST BE PICKED UP
BY 5:30PM
*A $3/minute late fee is charged after 5:30pm!
Release Form/Confirmation Packet:
A parent or guardian signature on the Release Form is required
a minimum of 1 week in advance of the camp session for which you enroll.
Upon registration processing, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the parent or guardian. 
The confirmation packet with release forms is located below. 
Students are registered on a first come first served basis.
 
         

Jr. Camp Assistant Training Program
Grades 8 to 12
The Jr. Camp Assistant Training Program is an exciting professional development opportunity for rising 8th –12th grade students who are interested in working with children in an educational setting, in our Camp Imaginarium weekly summer sessions. Students can apply to assist camp educatorswith the day-to-day camp activities. Be sure to check with your school for volunteer hours or community-service credit. Interested students (and their parents) should complete the application below and return it to the Imaginarium for review. Museum staff will call to confirm your interview session (selected below). If accepted to the program, you will be scheduled for full-day shifts, to work with ONE week-long camp session. Some students may be invited toparticipate in additional sessions, depending onperformance. 

 

The $45 Training Fee (processed upon assignment, after interview) includes: Professional Development Training Session with Lunch
(Mandatory! Saturday, June19th 10am-2pm)

Personalized Certificate of Appreciation (Upon Completion)
Letter of Reference (Upon Completion)
Weekly Evaluations, Two CampT-Shirts, & Training Materials

  Requirements: Attend MANDATORY professional development training session on Saturday, June19th  from 10am-2pm and Select and attend one MANDATORY group interview on Wednesday, May 26th 5-6pm or Saturday, May 29th 10-11am.
